"Private house" - the name itself expresses the expectations of the investor. The main guidelines were a single-storey house with a compact, minimalistic form, "open" only to the owners, for whom the house is meant to be a haven.
The substantial glazing opens out only onto the enclosed patios, providing maximum privacy, which was the project's main aim. The client, fascinated by concrete architecture, had no doubts about what materials the house was to be built of.
The ascetic form of the exterior goes hand in hand with minimalist black and white. These are the main colours, in fact the only colours, in the architecture of the interior. The concrete ceiling has been left bare, with previously prepared spaces for lamps. An epoxy resin has been applied to the floor, covered in the living room with a light-coloured carpet. Dark wood, carpets, curtains, and rugs as well as decorative lighting add warmth to the otherwise sterile atmosphere, and a double-sided fireplace opens out onto both the living room and the dining room. Large spaces and a minimum of furnishings and accessories in conjunction with quality materials mean that the interior is not overloaded, and the large number of built-in and concealed cupboards enhance the functionality of the space.
